Watermelon  Sorbet

  • 4 and 1/3 cup watermelon
  • 1 cup sugar (or equal amount natural substitute)
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp rum, wine or suitable liqueur (optional)
  • Puree watermelon in a blender after removing seeds
  • Add sugar and lemon juice, combining all ingredients. Blend until sugar dissolves
  • Freeze after pouring into a covered container When it is semi-solid, mash it up with a fork and re-freeze
  • Repeat when frozen Put contents in a blender again and process until smooth Cover and re-freeze until you serve it
  • Serve a scoop or two garnished with a mint leaf
