Over the almost 4 weeks, the initial wt loss was quick and now for the last week or 10 days there is no noticable loss. Also laxity in strict diet has slipped a few times...I guess if one keeps at it even a 1 kg loss per month for the next 6-7 months will be quite a achievement for me...
Hi everyone......The feeling of Christmas is upon me and my heart is so light and there is a nip in the air mostly early mornings . Can feel it when I go out for my early morning walks. Yes, am in the process of baking cakes for the family and will also be visiting my sisters in Kolkata for Christmas......So will have to pinch here and there on goodies laid out on t he table and have promised myself that I will not indulge too much on rich food being served.. The most exciting part is visiting my sisters who I have not met for several years and I am so excited. So Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to IHU Family and Friends....Let us look forward to the New Year with new beginnings. Cheers!
Last few days have been eating out but smaller portions and avoiding fried and sweet things. One thing is very clear the easy feeling one has after eating veggies and fruits is just not there after having oily preparations outside the house..... Being Sunday was able to go for a walk twice and clocked about 6 kms. Even if one were to walk 3 kms a day, it would burn about 200 calories. the heightened metabolism would burn probably 200 more and restricted diet (no sweets/sugar keeping everything else the same) would give a allowance of another 200....all in all a small change of 30 min walk can give effect to about 600 calorie reduction per day. At 7700 calories needed per Kg loss , about 2Kgs will come off in a month or my target of 10 kg loss in 5 months....simply by this routine. It is quite simple if you think about it.
Been so busy all these days with family members visiting .....cooking and housekeeping takes up a lot of my time but i walk regularly and also take my medications too.....Feeling healthy ...got my checkup done....results good as I was afraid that I would cross the normal line of diabetes....but lo! the results were all in the normal range but have to keep a watch on my diet at night....Said and done, my doc was happy with the general results....he is so encouraging about everything and I am blessed to have him as my doc. Trying to eat health y and exercising regularly and people have noticed that I seem to have trimmed inches around my waist and also looking fit. . Friends say I look like a young grandmother...whatever that means.....but yes, they are encouraging words to make me motivated to eat right and stay healthy....

After many failed attempts to shed weight , I am starting all over again to shed some kilos. This time my reason for shedding weight is to get into my old jeans. So guys wish me luck.... 
I just started running from today. I am following a program that starts slowly and increases run interval week by week.
Guilty as charged....did 3 days of unlimited eating /drinking of all banned items...but all this was as per plan of having a open day on all important family days ( brithdays/anniversaries ) etc... Luckily after thre days weight hasnt moved much and is still hovering 67-67.5...Phew ! today was 3 bananas, 2 oranges, one large guava, milk, evening rice with yogurt and a sauteed paneer vegetable dish.. Walked 3-4 kms. Saw some new places in my neigbourhood which I hadnt seen in last so many years.. I try to walk to a new distination daily.
I got up very early today ,Had hot water then tea and did yoga for more then hr . It was good change from My every day morning walk . Had cornflakes and Apple for breakfast .. Eating, salad, parwal ki sabji and curd with 2 chapati for lunch ..will eat multy grain biscuit tea time in the evening . I have to make a low cal soup for dinner .bye ihu
